Laurie & Tom Miller

Laurie and I met in 1970 in Anthropology class that was then held in the quonset huts.

Running late for class one day, I ended up in the closest empty seat next to Laurie. She had the longest blonde hair.

My first words: “you have masculine hand writing.” It was before laptops and we actually wrote notes.

I waited until the last day of class to ask her out. She agreed and that was the beginning of our courtship.

We were engaged the following year and were married in 1972. We’ve been blessed with nearly 45 years together, three children and six grandchildren.

Without CSU and a chance encounter we may have never met.
